When you commit to maintaining a blog these days, it indicates that you will be getting cash back from it. You might have the largest readership for your blog. But, if you are not using it to get cash, then you are not utilizing it to your benefit. If you look very closely at the more popular blogs available, you will discover that they are not making a lot of money. They do not pay attention to making the most from the earning potential that they have in their blogs. Unless you are only blogging for fun, you should really be making money with it.
Below, there are three suggestions that will show you how to monetize your blog.
You have the option of promoting affiliate products that will fit into your blog’s focus. You can start this with banner ads. While this seems like a good idea, there is the downside of not only recommending this product to your readers, but outright promoting it. If your readers are a good target audience for this product, then this option could be very beneficial.
You could try taking a post and selling it to a company if you mention their product. It might sound like you are supposed to review the product on your post, but that is not what you are doing. All you are doing with this is mentioning the product in a post you are writing about a certain topic you choose. For example, if you’re writing a post about email management, you might have the mention of an ‘email management software’ for your client. Your readers will still get the content they want to read while your partner is getting their product to an audience.
If you are okay with accepting donations, it can become another option to generate income from your blog. All you need to have is a link that directs your readers to PayPal or some other payment processor to easily donate if they like your article. You aren’t going to twist anyone’s arm to donate for what you are writing, but you can always give them the option. Your blog can be a great way to earn a living after a little time using these options. If you don’t put in the effort, this will not happen. You will have to consistently work towards testing new ways to make money from your blog to see what works the best for you. Don’t get too comfortable and stop trying new things with your blog unless you don’t want to see growth.
